Beginning Monday, April 13th, The University of Texas Theatre and Dance Department will begin its five day event known as The Cohen New Works Festival. 38 original pieces will have their chance to shine, including one directed by upperclassmen Martin Rodriguez and Andrew Valdez. Their piece, The Rainbow Connection, highlights the importance of imagination for a person of any age. The Rainbow Connection, along with the other shows in New Works, allow the Theatre and Dance Department to bring their talent to the students and faculty, with new work presented in various locations in and around campus. The Cohen New Works Festival, presented by Broadway Bank, is a biennial event which showcases and celebrates the creation of fine arts pieces.
